Live Recording to be Released May 15 (US) and May 22 (International)

Recorded at the Meyerson Symphony Center in 2024.

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Fabio Luisi will release a landmark live recording of Richard Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen, captured over several concerts at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in 2024.

Representing a rare undertaking for an American orchestra, this historic project is released in 2026, during the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s 125th anniversary season, which falls 150 years after the first performance of the complete Ring cycle at the Bayreuth Festival in 1876. Recorded by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dirk Sobotka, it launches a new partnership between Delos and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

The project is dedicated to the memory of Morton H. Meyerson.

Fabio Luisi Conducts

Fabio Luisi received his first GRAMMY® Award for his leadership of the last two operas of Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen with The Metropolitan Opera. His work in opera was extensive, with nine years at the helm of the Zurich Opera and six years as Principal Guest Conductor of The Metropolitan Opera. Audiences then joined us as this masterful conductor led the Dallas Symphony in Wagner’s Ring Cycle.
